On November 17, 2021, Davido challenged his friends and fans to send the sum of one million naira each to his bank account. Davido had put up a post on his Instagram and Twitter pages challenging his friends to show him love by sending money to his account which number he posted. He noted that anyone that doesn’t come through with the challenge should not associate with him anymore. He was able to raise 201 million naira in total and added 50 million naira of his own money and set up a panel to disburse the money to orphanages accross Nigeria. Davido shared a copy of the statement via Twitter with the caption “we rise by lifting others”.
In the same month of November 2021, he released Champion Sound with South African act, Focalistic.
On the 5th of March 2022, Davido sold out the o2 arena with a capacity of 20,000. The arena was renamed to “The Davido 2” for one night to celebrate the Nigerian Afrobeats singer.[
